Competitions 2010-11

We normally hold four competitions throughout the year. Three are for both projected images and prints and are assessed by an invited external judge. The other competition is print only and is judged by all club members.

All images are critiqued by the judge allowing the photographer to receive direct feedback on their work. Those aspects of the image that work well are highlighted, together with the reasons why. There is also constructive criticism offered if appropriate, the emphasis being on the 'constructive' nature of the comments.

It is a great way to understand why (in the view of the judge) certain images work better than others, and how some can be improved.
